The Owen Sound Police are investigating a drowning that occurred off of the West Side Pier.
Police received reports of the incident on Tuesday at around 2:20 pm with Police, Owen Sound Fire and EMS responding.
Investigation determined that a 15-year-old male who was swimming with friends around the pier when they failed to surface.
The Coast Goard quickly attended the area along with the Fire Department Vessel.
The OPP Marine & Dive Unit joined the search shortly thereafter in a search that lasted several hours.
The search located the young man deceased just after 7pm last night.
No further info has been released at this time.
