The Owen Sound Police & Grey Bruce OPP are investigating a suspicious death that took place in Owen Sound.
Police were called to a 2nd Avenue East residence just before noon on July 7th where they discovered a 47-year-old male deceased.
The investigation is under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch involving the Owen Sound Police & Crime Unit, OPP West Region Crime Unit & OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the OPP Regional Support Team.
It is also in conjunction with the Ontario Chief Coroner & Forensic Pathology Services.
Police believe it is an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
The investigation is in its initial stages and no further details can be released at this time.
There will be a large police presence in the area for the next few days.
