The North Shore Railway could be back on the track.

The owner of the iconic steam train Scott Pearson made a delegation at Saugeen Shores Council at their Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday night.

He presented them with a plan to revitalize the railway including additional tourism offerings like a snack bar and highlighting some of the small buildings that make up the history of the railway industry.

In a news release, the Town is planning to hold consultations over the summer on the changes to the park including the proposed railway.

They say staff will be working with Pearson to develop project details and bring them forward to Council at a later date.
