The Provincial Junior Hockey League are putting the Wingham Ironmen in the penalty box.

The Ironmen had six points deducted and are now in fifth place behind the fourth place Kincardine Bulldogs in the Pollock division standings.

That’s because, according to Chuck Bastie of the Bulldogs, the Ironmen were penalized for using an ineligible player.

The move now sees Kincardine four points up on Wingham.

The Bulldogs are two back of the third place Patriots.

The Bulldogs and Ironmen meet up Friday night at 8 in Wingham in the first game of a home-and-home set this weekend with the second game in Kincardine Saturday night at 7.
