The Township of North Huron held its regular council meeting last night.
One item on the agenda was the request by the Wingham Ironmen hockey team, through President Wayne Johnston, concerning the installation/removal policy of it being out on April 1st.
Johnston explains the reason behind the request.
“It is some what of a risk, by either having to guarantee so many hours of ice in a week which we can’t, or move playoff home games out of town which isn’t beneficial to anybody.”
The Council made a decision to wait on all reports for all facilities in the Township before making a decision on one specific one such as the request in Wingham.
The team says it can handle the current season under the existing policy but want a decision as of next season.
