Port Elgin PumpkinFest Celebrating 39 Years

All is set this weekend for another year of Port Elgin PumpkinFest.

Running on October 5th and 6th the annual event has a series of things to look forward to for everyone.

Celebrating 39 years PumpkinFest will see the usual with a car show, midway and the giant vegetable competition complete with live music by The Road Hammers and 54-40.

Ann-Marie Collins, Marketing Director for Port Elgin PumpkinFest says on top of the usual events, they will see some newer things.

“We’ll have a carver there carving a couple of giant pumpkins and we’ll have a chainsaw wood carver, we think that’ll be some fun to see that happening.” said Collins.

Tickets are available from the PumpkinFest website with passes also available at Ralphs Independent Grocer, Foodland. Smiths Apple Farm and Home Hardware.
