Province investing up-to $6.9 Million in 100 Conservation Projects including Saugeen Bruce Peninsula

The funding will help conservation partners restore local wetlands, improve water quality, help prevent flooding and build climate resiliency.

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers announced recently the province is investing up to $6.9 million dollars in 100 local conservation projects to restore and enhance wetlands across Ontario, including Saugeen Bruce Peninsula.

The funding will help conservation partners restore local wetlands, improve water quality, help prevent flooding and build climate resiliency.

Locally it will see the Nature Conservancy Canada and Saugeen Peninsula Invasive Species Collaboration receive just over $103,000.

There will be a call for applications for new projects under the program with applications accepted August 8th to September 12th.
