The Grey, Bruce and Dufferin Transit project has secured $9.5 million from the province in funding.
The three counties in partnership with Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit or SMART will receive up to $9.5 million from the province through the Ontario Transit Investment Funding to develop a unified regional transit network.
The tri-county project would help establish a seamless, equitable and efficient transit network connecting the three counties while enhancing mobility for all residents.
Grey County Warden Andrea Matrosovs says they’re excited the province sees value in rural transit in the region and are grateful for the significant investment which will help build a sustainable network across Grey, Bruce and Dufferin Counties.
