Local Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says she is pleased to see the Ontario government making good on its promise to reduce red tape for small businesses and not-for-profits when dealing with the Province.

The solution is entitled the Ontario Business Registry. The service replaces an out-of-date and inefficient process Thompson says. She adds that it offers direct access to government services 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

In line with the announcement of the new Business Registry, the Not-For-Profit Act, 2010 came into force. This framework she says modernizes governance for Ontario’s not-for-profit corporations and significantly reduces the bureaucratic burden on them.
