Public Health Investigating Dog Biting Incident in Arran-Elderslie

Grey Bruce Public Health is looking for help in identifying the owner of a dog from an incident in Arran-Elderslie.

On October 22nd at around 7:30pm a woman and her daughter were walking their dog on 1st Avenue North in Chesley near the fire hall when they encountered a woman walking an older dog.

The two dogs were involved in an altercation resulting in the woman with her daughter falling to the ground and sustaining injuries.

Public health received a report the victim might have bitten by the dog during the incident.

The older dog is described as a mixed breed, yellow/tan in colour.

The woman walking the dog was wearing a floral t-shirt with black pants.

Public health is looking to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.
