Grey Bruce Public Health is advising people who use unregulated street drugs to exercise caution following 2 overdoes, 1 being fatal in the last 2 days.
Public health says fentanyl is the suspected drug in the non fatal case with an unknown white powder associated with the fatality.
Five opioid overdose alerts have been issued to community partners since June 1st.
Those who use drugs are at a significant risk of overdose due to the local street drug supply containing the highly toxic drugs fentanyl and fentanyl analogues.
Public health is advising all street drugs should be deemed potentially fatal.
