Huron-Perth Public Health has released its 2024 annual report which showcases programs and services delivered last year as well as a summary of financial information.
Some highlights of the report include dealing with a list outbreaks from COVID-19, Influenza, gastrointestinal disease and others.
School based immunization was also well ramped up with 3640 total immunizations done over 102 clinics as part of routine grade 7 and 10 immunizations.
The majority of those immunizations were for Hepatitis B and Human Papillomavirus.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Miriam Klassen says the report includes leading the infection prevention and control hub to support congregate settings and widely sharing their social connection primer and launching a new opioid monitoring tool.
