With another day of cold temperatures across the area, Huron Perth Public Health is urging safety in the cold weather.

Public health says very cold temperatures can pose risks for cold related injuries such as frostbite and hypothermia all of which can be prevented.

Cold weather can also worsen existing health conditions such as those affecting the lungs and heart.

Public health says its best to keep children indoors if temperatures reach -27 or colder with the windchill, check on others, dress appropriately and stay warm and dry.
