Report gives Saugeen Shores water system a clean bill of health

A report on the Town of Saugeen Shores’ water system reveals that it continues to provide clean, safe drinking water.

The Ontario Clean Water Agency’s 2021 Annual Drinking Water Report was delivered to Council at Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting.

The report verifies that the water system is compliant adding that it meets or exceeds Provincial regulations.

The report goes on to say that water and wastewater systems meet current capacity needs and are in a solid position, with upgrades already planned, to meet future demand.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau said in a statement that the Town takes the availability of safe drinking water seiously and that he is glad that the agency reaffirms that the water system is ready for growth.
