The Nuclear Waste Management Organization had a special guest in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Elder Theresa Hall is a resident of Attawapiskat First Nation and serves on the Council of Elders and Youth, an independent body of the NWMO.

Hall spoke virtually with the NWMO staff about her experience at two different residential schools in Canada.

NWMO’s Vice-President of Indigenous Relations & Strategic Programs Bob Watts says it is important to listen to survivors of residential school to ensure everyone is making meaningful contributions to reconciliation.
