Residents Reminded to Clear Residential 911 Signs of Snow

Bruce County is reminding residents to clear any snow from residential 911 signs.

Given the amount of snowfall which has come in the last week, some signs may still be buried.

Many communities require rural properties to have 911 signs visible at the end of their driveway so they can easily seen by emergency responders.

Bruce County Emergency Management reminds residents to have these signs clear and visible so emergency responders can ensure a quick response if needed.

Ray Lux, Bruce County Emergency Management Coordinator says every second counts in an emergency and precious time can be wasted in emergency responders can’t locate the correct property.
