There continues to be a heavy push to bring high school football back to Kincardine District Secondary School.

High school football which has been absent at KDSS for decades has seen a revival with students and some teachers wanting to see the sport return.

As it stands, the team would be part of the Bluewater Athletic Association which would then grow to a 4 team league.

Otis Dolan who’s among those ushering the teams return says there could be hope to see even more schools revive or start up their squad.

“I would love to see more schools in the area start up a football program and I would be all for helping that. We’ve had support from the head coach at Saugeen Shores, Joey Wentworth, he set up a contact with us to pickup 30 sets of free shoulder pads from a coach in Newmarket.” said Dolan.

Those who want to help out are encouraged to reach out over Facebook or those wanting to get more involved can become a part of the new flag football team.
