The Ripley-Huron Community School is set to holding its Playground Dedication and Welcome Back Barbeque this afternoon starting at 4:30 pm.
Christie Botden, Fundraising Lead for the School Community Council’s Playground Project speaks to the amount of support they saw during their fundraiser for the project.
“It’s amazing 50 organizations, people, local businesses, saw a real need, they saw our need, they love our kids and they got it done.”
The event starts at 4:30 pm with a visit to the classrooms and BBQ with pre-ordered food available for pickup as well as a limited quantity on a cash basis.
The Playground Dedication is at 5:45pm with a short ceremony expected.
