Rockwood Terrace in Grey County has reached the halfway mark of its redevelopment.
The new home will see the replacement of the current terrace in Durham with a new purpose built, 129 bed home, an expansion from the current 100.
Once complete, Rockwood Terrace will offer 24 hour nursing care, regular and on call physician support assistance with personal care and bathing, nutritious meals, housekeeping services and a range of recreation and social programming.
Grey County Warden Andrea Matrosovs says this milestone is significant, Not just because of the scale of this project, but because of what it means for the future of publicly run long-term care in southern Grey County.
The project is on budget and on track to open in spring next year.
