Two Romanian nationals were arrested in Hanover after a report of a shoplifting in progress.
Police arrested two male suspects after receiving the shoplifting report.
The suspect vehicle was stopped downtown with both males arrested, one of which had only been in Canada a few days prior to the arrest.
Police seized 144 stolen items still in their packaging including disposable razors, electric tooth brushes, dental products and other items with a value over $8000.
The suspects were remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
Hanover police say immigration officials have also been contacted.
