Rural students who need support with financing for post secondary while studying at the University of Guelph are getting a boost from the Joyce Family Foundation.

A $2.5 million gift from the foundation will provide up to four bursaries at $22,000 payable over four years to full time students entering any program who have graduated high school within the last two years and demonstrate financial need.

Rob MacIsaac, Board Chair of the Joyce Family Foundation says this initiative celebrates determination and potential, supporting students as they work toward their dreams.

This gift is the largest in the universities history to establish an endowment for needs based awards. Applications for the bursary are open until April 15th.
