Kincardine is celebrating the launch of the Smart Beach Light in place at Station Beach just in time for the summer.
Following testing and calibration, the beach light will be up and running on June 12 providing beach-goers with current swim conditions all aimed to improve waterfront safety through data, technology and public education.
A ribbon cutting is set for June 12th starting at 10am at Station Beach.
The new system uses a colour coded display of green, yellow and red to provide current swimming conditions which can found at the main beach entrance.
