Saugeen Shores Police advise of Bitcoin Scam that Victimized 2 Recently

Two senior residents were taken for $15,000 in two separate incidents in the area. They ask for families to spread word to prevent more victims.

Saugeen Shores Police are sharing an alert to residents to be on the lookout for scams involving Bitcoin.

The warning comes after two of senior residents were taken for $15,000 in two separate incidents.

They say if anyone tells you that you need to withdraw money and deposit into a bitcoin machine, please hang up and do not follow their directions.

The request is scam and you will lose all of your money.

No government or legitimate business will ask you to do it and if you believe you are being scammed please hang up and call police.

They ask families to talk about Bitcoin scams and help prevent future victims.
