All of South Bruce Peninsula celebrated on Monday with the arrival home of Kurtis McDermid with the Stanley Cup.
The Sauble Beach resident spent the afternoon with thousands of area residents who lined the parade route along Lakeshore Boulavard to catch a glimpse of the arriving local hero.
The ceremony for the day was under the famed Sauble Beach sign, where McDermid took to the stage with the Cup along with family, friends and local dignitaries.
Following that fans in the audience were able to have their picture taken with Kurtis and the Stanley Cup.
