The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority are undergoing their annual tree planting.

This is the 72nd year of the program which is supported by Bruce Power, Forest Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program, and landowners.

In a news release, the Conservation Authority says there have been over 5.8 million trees planted, and are excited to be continuing to turn open land into forests.

They say the 2022 seedling orders have been sold out, marking another year of their commitment to protecting wildlife, preserving the watershed, and creating an ecosystem for everyone to enjoy.

Anyone interested in planting trees in 2023 should reach out to the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority by this fall.
