Saugeen Shores has dedicated a street in honour of Duncan Hawthrone, former Bruce Power President & CEO.
Hawthorne, who recently with his wife made a pledge of $1 million to the Kincardine Hospital is being honoured further for his contributions in shaping the development of the region of Saugeen Shores.
He and his wife Lesley are still a regular supporter of Saugeen Shores healthcare who made a donation in 2022 for $20,000 for a CT Scanner at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says under Duncan’s leadership, Bruce Power began its journey to becoming the world-leading nuclear facility we know today all while profoundly supporting the growth and development of the region.
