Saugeen Shores enhances its Municipal Housing Allowance available to Low-Income Households

Bruce County and Saugeen Shores recently approved a Memoradum of Understanding to enhance the County’s Municipal Housing Allowance Program that offers assistance to residents.

Saugeen Shores has committed $75,000 to be utilized over the net year to offer assistance under the program.

It will assist an additional 10 eligible households in Saugeen Shores.

The program currently provides a portable housing allowance of $590 per month to 27 households in the County.

The program can be applied for online, through a call to the Bruce County Community Housing Registry, or you can pickup an application at the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, Penetangore Hub in Kincardine, Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin or Peninsula Hub in Wiarton.
