The Town of Saugeen Shores is developing parking strategies for both Port Elgin & Southampton’s downtown areas to address how the community wants to manage its valuable parking assets.
There is a study underway that considers such questions as should the town expand the supply to address peak demand, are there different ways to manage it, are there innovative ways to improve the parking experience and will the changes influence travel behaviours today, in the future and how do they prepare for it.
There are pop-up events planned for Port Elgin at Coulter Parkette next Tuesday, October 17th from 10 to 3, and Rotary Hall that evening from 5 to 7.
In Southampton there are pop-ups in the Town Hall on Wednesday, October 18th from 10 to 3 and that evening from 5 to 7.
There is also an online survey available to offer feedback.
