Saugeen Shores is conducting a study on whether to designate certain roads in the Municipality as “cottage streets”.

These are streets in the Town’s Urban beachfront areas that vary from typical engineering standards and generally have narrower right-of-way.

The study would also help determine design standards, as well as a map of these areas.

Residents can join one of the upcoming Public Info Centers to learn more about the study and share their comments.

The event in Southampton is at the Town Hall on Tuesday, November 28th form 5 to 7 pm and the event in Port Elgin is at the Plex on Wednesday, November 29th from 5 to 7pm.

You can also participate online at a virtual session on Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

The link will be made available after the in-person events.
