The Saugeen Shores Police Service say Random Acts of Kindness are a wonderful gesture but can also be scary for people depending on the situation.

The advisory comes after police got a report of a suspicious package left on a residential door step.

The contents did not appear to be alarming but the resident wasn’t sure why or who left it for them.

Police say if you are delivering, dropping off or handing out a gift for a random act of kindness they say to attach a note to let the receiver know why they are getting it.

Police ask the person who dropped off the gift in the last 2 days to reach out to them to let them know.
