The Saugeen Shores Police announced recently that Jeremy Mighton has been selected as their new Deputy Chief of Police for the Saugeen Shores Police Service.
Inspector Mighton received Canada’s Exemplary Service Medal back in April of 2024 in recognition of his extensive 21 year career in law enforcement which began with the Guelph Police Service, as well as 5 years as a Hanover Police constable before joining the Saugeen Shores Police in 2011.
In addition to graduation from the Ontario Police College, he also achieved an honours Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from Western University.
The official swearing-in ceremony for Deputy Chief Mighton will be January 29th at the Police Station in Port Elgin.
