Saugeen Shores Police charge Peterborough Driver after Found in Car Impaired Friday

Their vehicle found on Goderich Street in Port Elgin early morning with its drivers door wide open.

Saugeen Shores Police have charged a 35-year-old of Peterborough after an incident on Goderich Street early last Friday morning.

Officers were on general patrol when they observed a vehicle on Goderich Street in Port Elgin with its drivers door wide open.

Police located a male passed out in the vehicle with keys in his hand.

They were subsequently charged with impaired operation 80 plus.

Their license was suspended and vehicle impounded.

While on-scene police also located a 28-year-old of Port Elgin passed out in a Muskoka chair.

They were issued a Public Intoxication offence notice.

Police remind everyone to make sure they have a safe ride home before heading out.
