The Saugeen Shores Police Service hosted training for its Standardized Field Sobriety testing this week.

It saw volunteers partake in some adult beverages and then be put through the testing process with uniformed officers.

In one instance one of their volunteers who advised their last drink was around 1:30 pm still found they had between 50 to 80 mg of alcohol in their blood at 8pm.

This result 6.5 hours after their final drink would have resulted in a drivers license suspension had they been operating a motor vehicle.

The Police say to take it into consideration the next time they think they are good to drive after a few hours of sleep after drinking.
