Saugeen Shores Police are involved in a weapons investigation after getting called to a laundromat in the area.
Officers were dispatched around 2:20 pm yesterday on a call for a wellbeing check on a male.
Upon arrival they found the washroom door had been locked.
They breached the door and located a male lying on the floor with a firearm situated on the counter.
It was removed and the male placed under arrested. Search later turned up suspected fentanyl and meth.
As a result a 25-year-old of Owen Sound was charged with possession of an imitation weapon, possession contrary to prohibition, and failure to comply with a release order.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The supect already had 23 outstanding charges before the courts before this incident.
