The Town of Saugeen Shores received a staff report from its CAO Kara Van Myall at Monday’s Council Meeting.

It outlined the just resolved court case of John Mann vs. the Town which had recently been heard at the Ontario Superior Court.

In the case Mann had alleged a number of wrongdoings on the part of the Saugeen Shores in relation to the Cedar Crest Village Development.

The case was eventually dismissed at a February 9th court date.

With this being settled the town moved forward with issuing a building permit for the North Phase of the Port Elgin waterfront project.

The project is a partnership between the Town and Private Sector and is the main component of the Town’s Waterfront Master Plan.
