The Town of Saugeen Shores received a Site Plan Staff Report at Monday evenings Council Meeting.
The proposed development would see 332 purpose-built rental apartments constructed at the north end of Waterloo Street in Port Elgin.
It would offer housing options including 24 3-bedroom units and 44 1-bedroom universally accessible units.
They would be designed based on senior independent living arrangements.
Staff has collected public comments on the development as well as the pertinent advisory committees of Council.
Town Staff recommended approval of the drawings and the negotiation of an agreement with the developer.
