All is taking shape for the 25th anniversary of Saugeen Shores.
Dubbed the Better Together Weekend, the anniversary runs August 9th-11th with a series of different events going on across the area include a concert, parade, fireworks and pancake breakfast.
The Municipal Heritage Committee is also running two driving tours across the area to show points of interest and celebrate community achievements.
Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau says it will be great to reflect on the past 25 years and look ahead.
“Celebrate some of the great accomplishments we’ve had as a community and to look forward to and think about the next 25 years and beyond. We have a great community, the best community in the world and its fun to celebrate it.” said Charbonneau.
The town and the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce will also host a time capsule project with digital contributions such as photos and written memories welcomed as well as physical items that can be donated to the Chamber of Commerce but given the space limitation some items might not be accepted.
