There will be updates made to Saugeen Shores winter maintenance.
Expanded winter maintenance is part of the newly updated Winter Operations Plan which was last updated in 2020.
The plan includes adjusting the number of sidewalks and roads receiving winter maintenance in the town’s urban areas.
With the extra 20km of sidewalks added to the town’s Winter Maintenance Plan, around half are due to recent construction since 2020 with half to existing sidewalks in Southampton starting maintenance next winter thanks to the new sidewalk plow route.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says thanks to the new sidewalk plow, they are able to provide residents a safer, pedestrian-friendly community throughout the winter months.
