The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority have released their 2023 Watershed Report Card.
In it they offered a comprehensive summary of the state of water quality, forests and wetlands in the Saugeen Valley Watershed from 2017 through 2021.
Groundwater quality received a grade of A or excellent.
Two sites received nitrogen levels of B or good with one site receiving a D or poor. These levels are not indicators of drinking water quality.
Most surface water saw a grade of B or Good.
Forest cover saw grades ranging from A excellent to D poor, with most receiving in the good to fair range.
Wetlands also received grades from excellent to poor with most in the excellent range.
