The Seaforth Centenaires of the WOAA Senior Mens Hockey league shared word of its upcoming Ham Slam Night set for Friday, December 30th.
The teams says the evening at the Seaforth & District Community Centre begins with an autograph signing session at 7:30 pm with former Atlanta Gladiator & Seaforth Centenaire Derek Nesbitt.
The team asks everyone to bring a canned food item for donation to the Seaforth Food Bank on behalf of Derek & the Seaforth Stars.
Fans are still encouraged to bring hams and throw them on the ice when the home team scores its first goal. They say hunger is a real issue in the community. To date more than 200 hams have bene donated to community food groups.
There will also be centre ice competitions for fans, ham door draws, and a game between the visiting Milverton Drives and the first-place Centenaires beginning at 8:30 pm.
There will also be a draw from the Mid-Huron Huskies where a lucky player will have heir 2023-24 registration paid for by the Centenaires.
