Drop-in at the Bridge is holding their Share the Love dinner on Saturday, Feb. 18 to raise money in support of their volunteer-run programming.
A five-course meal will be provided by West Coast Catering, and Chef Alex is also mixing up a few fusion drinks for guests.
Wes Larson, founder and manager of the centre, says they’re trying to assist people and create a community in increasingly lonely times.
“We have free meals, coffee, whoever comes in, they’re going to enjoy life there,” he says. “It’s like a big country kitchen where, in the old days everybody sat at the table laughing, having fun and enjoying life. That’s really what it’s all about. We’re a community on ourselves and we just want to help people find some happiness in life.”
The goal is to have the Share the Love dinner become an annual event each Saturday after Valentine’s. This year’s dinner is at the Kincardine Pavilion starting at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $125 or $800 for a table.
