Counties and towns alike are declaring a significant weather event ahead of tomorrow’s forecasted blizzard.
The impending snowstorm has already caused the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League to cancel tomorrow’s games, and more event postponements should be expected this afternoon.
In case you lose power tomorrow, during what meteorologists say should be the coldest day of winter so far, Huron and Area Search and Rescue are recommending you have:
- Candles
- Batteries and lamps
- Radio
- Canned food
- Potable water
- Solar or charged battery packs for phones
- Blankets
- Fuel for generator (kept outside) – Snowblower ready to go
- Shovels
- First aid kit of some significance
- Chain saw
- Battery back up for sump pump
- Warm clothing
