The Province’s Special Investigation Unit has been called in after an OPP officer discharged an anti-riot weapon at a man on Wednesday night in Goderich.
The incident occurred at a residence in the Victoria Street North and Anglesea Street area.
Police were investigating a break-in and upon arriving they located a man fleeing the scene.
There was an interaction, and the office deployed the ARWEN at the man.
As it is classified as a weapon it brings an investigation by the SIU.
Two investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned.
