The Ontario Special Investigations Unit is looking into the circumstances of a single-vehicle crash in Port Elgin.
Saugeen Shores Police spotted a vehicle making a traffic infraction on Saturday afternoon.
An attempt was made to stop the vehicle only to have it flee from police.
The vehicle ended up crashing into a residence on Bricker Street leading to serious injuries to a female passenger and an occupant of the home.
The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old man, was arrested and charged, and held for a bail hearing.
