Small electrical fire causes evacuation of Huron Heights School Wednesday afternoon

The school was evacuated promptly to St. Anthony’s Church and students did an amazing job following the school’s fire plan.

Huron Heights Principal Kim Tolton offered an update on an emergency situation that occurred at the school yesterday afternoon just before 2pm.

She advised a small electrical fire had occurred in a motor of one of the heaters at the school.

The school was evacuated promptly to St. Anthony’s Church and students did an amazing job following the school’s fire plan.

She thanked staff and students for remaining calm and Kincardine Fire and the OPP for responding quickly.

All students were returned to the school resumed their regular end of day dismissal.
