The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation released a video thanking the community for their contributions to their Bring Tom to Town campaign.
Over the last year, Port Elgin, Southampton and the surrounding area raised over $3 million to bring a new CT scanner to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
CT campaign Co-chair James Sconyack says the machine could save countless lives.
As extra thanks, the foundation will be hosting a community BBQ this Thursday in the Southampton Rexall parking lot, starting at 11 a.m.
