SMHF’s radiothon raises $215,000

The Chantry Island Cham-bettes gave a $20,000 donation during the Dec. 8 radiothon.

 

The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, raised a record-breaking amount from their Seventh Annual Light the Way Radiothon, collecting $215,000 in donations in 12 hours.

The goal of the Dec 8 event was to fundraise for seven pieces of needed equipment for the hospital, including a dialysis machine, defibrillator, and microtome.

Light the Way runs until the end of December and is the foundation’s biggest annual fundraiser. If you wish to donate, visit smhfoundation.ca or call 519-797-3230 x3230.
