South Bruce OPP are reminding motorists about deer on the roads.

They say officers were called to nine motor vehicle collisions involving deer between April 1st and the 7th.

There were no injuries in any of the collisions.

South Bruce OPP say deer can be seen roaming around from sunset to midnight, and shortly before and after sunrise, and will often be in groups.

They say when a deer is in your path to brake firmly but stay in your lane as most serious crashes occur when the vehicle tries to swerve to avoid the deer.
