South Bruce OPP were pretty busy in 2021 compared to the previous year.
Inspector Krista Miller delivered a report to Kincardine Council on Monday (21st).
In the report, there were 2,135 calls for service in 2021, up from 2,083 in 2020.
218 calls were for motor vehicle collisions, followed by public assistance (157), property-related or false alarms (135), suspicious person (125), and mental health act (100).
The number of calls for collisions was up from 2020 (186).
Violent crime rose slightly in 2021 (up 6.8 percent from 2020) while there was a slight dip in property crime (-1.6 percent).
The Marine Unit reported 52 calls for service in 2021.
128 vessels were checked with 28 warnings and 3 charges laid.
