South Bruce Peninsula reviewing legal implications of Supreme Court Decision on Sauble Beach

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has provided an update on the Ontario Supreme Court ruling on the land claim of a portion of Sauble Beach.

The Town says the decision and its implications are being reviewed with their legal council.

They aren’t making a decision on an appeal until they fully understand the implication for residents & businesses.

They say the questions raised include whether landowners can have a life interest in the portion Saugeen First Nation holds title.

Another question for South Bruce Peninsula is where the Reserve’s new east boundary lies.
